The basis for this new model of the eye is that: a.) light is detected via spatial dimensionalities (”optical antennas”) and that, when realizing this, b.) the specific array of two sizes of retinal receptors that have evolved did so as a logical consequence of the distribution of wavelengths falling onto it resulting from what has been termed, the “longitudinal chromatic aberration” of the lens and optical refraction properties of the eye.
